Roofing Panels

ALL panels can be 16-21 inches wide. Seam heights come in 1 or 1.5 inches.

ALL panels can be rolled with a flat profile, pencil ribs, or striations. Pencil ribs and striations provide additional structural support for each panel and can help reduce oil canning.

We can show up to the jobsite and run steel panels at ANY length.

Preferred Panels runs metal panels for roofing contractors and Do-it-yourselfers as well as jobs we complete.

Panel Types

Double lock standing seam

Double lock standing seam panel.

Standing seam are our most commonly used and installed panels. Mechanical seaming is required to weatherproof and water-tight standing seam panels. Once seamed, these panels are rated for winds up to 120 MPH.

Seaming a panel is a simple 2 step process using either hand seamers or a seaming tool.

Snap lock

Snap Lock roof panels do not require additional mechanical seaming unlike standing seamed panels. This makes them easier and faster to install at a slight cost to wind resistance. Snap Lock panels are susceptible to misalignment over time if not properly installed due to thermal expansion and contraction.

Corrugated Metal

Corrugated roof panels have visible ribs in them and are secured using screws with their head exposed. Siding can also be corrugated, using exposed fasteners. See our siding page for more details.

We take every measure to ensure the highest quality of your roof. Check out our FAQ page for more information.
